I find myself lucky to be able to live amidst nature’s lap, on the banks of Brisbane River. The
habitat here is diverse in its own and home to many a reptiles and birds. The diverse flora
and fauna are so mystical and dazzling that one look at the milieu brings new hope and
eternal bliss. We have to learn to appreciate the diversity of Nature and learn to instill the
same into ourselves so that we are able to live in harmony and peace with people of diverse
cultures and religion.
But lately Nature has witnessed destruction of its trees and pollution of the River, disturbing
the flora and fauna around my town house. I ponder many a times, that a small burn could
hurt me day and night. How would it feel to perish day and night incessantly for years? We
have destroyed Nature for a long time now, it is high time we realize our mistakes and stop
destruction. Save Nature and Save ourselves. Else Dooms day would be closer than ever
expected.
Always put yourself into other’s shoes. If it hurts you it probably hurts the other person too.
In the picture the shoe belongs to Mother Nature. The feather, twig, snail and pebbles
personify nature. The creepers in the backdrop are in black and white as they portray
destruction of Nature. The picture is an example of selective coloring and has been edited
using Photoshop.
